Mark was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area where he also went to college and graduate school. He lives and works in the East Bay. His son, Riley, is a senior at UCLA earning his degree in Business Economics.
Mark earned a Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy and Behavioral-Social Sciences and a Master’s Degree in theology at St. Patrick’s Seminary College in Mountain View and St. Patrick Seminary and University in Menlo Park, California. He served the Roman Catholic Diocese of Oakland in California.
He transitioned to the business world and eventually was a Director of Sales with Brother International Corporation for 20 years. There he learned that the key to business is not selling widgets, but building relationships. In 2016 he joined MassMutual Financial Group. He relishes the ability to have a positive impact in people's lives, helping them secure their future and protect those they love.
Mark actively supports the LGBTQ+ community as a professional advisor with the Horizons Foundation, the world’s first Foundation of, by and for gay people. He is also an active member of the Golden Gate Business Association, San Francisco’s LGBTQ+ Chamber of Commerce.
Mark is a passionate fan of the San Francisco Giants, Washington Capitals, the Raiders and the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame.
